St. Paul School has a rich legacy of educating K-8th grade students for the past 67 years in the Rainier Beach neighborhood. In January of 2021, the decision was made to sunset the K-8th grade program and exclusively focus on growing a year-round early learning program to respond to the growing need young families have for full day care for their preschool aged children.
In September of 2021 we started a creative, safe, and loving full-day and school-day program open to 3 – 5 year old’s. Our plan and hope is to expand our program to include birth-5 year old’s within the next 3-5 years.
We are graciously supported by St. Paul Parish and are committed to excellence in early childhood education. As a Catholic school we are also dedicated to the spiritual development and growth of our students and families. This unites us in joy and hope!
As parents, you are the primary educators of your children. We are simply a partner. Together we can lay the foundation for your child’s future academic success!
Our Director
We are pleased to announce Laurie Clark is the Director of Early Learning. Laurie brings great vision and energy to this program and we are very blessed to have her.
Laurie holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from Washington State University and received her teaching credentials from Central Washington State University with endorsements in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. In addition, she earned a Child Development Associate Credential and has her Masters in literacy from Eastern Washington University.
Laurie’s commitment to each family is to provide their child with a safe, nurturing, positive and collaborative community that prepares them for success in kindergarten. Children will have play opportunities and research-based learning center experiences to build a strong foundation for early literacy and provide developmentally appropriate instruction for young learners, including cross-curricular activities, a focus on social-emotional development, and preparation for kindergarten and beyond.
