Hello St. Paul Families,
It has been so great talking with so many of you! You are amazing parents and I honor you for all you are doing to make the transition for your children as smooth as possible.
I have some important updates to share with you:
- Please be sure to complete an application at each school you are interested in attending. Be sure to remind the school, if they ask for an application fee, that Kristin Moore said that all application fees are to be waived for St. Paul families. They know this but may need to be reminded.
- If you have applied for Fulcrum Foundation’s tuition assistance grant you MUST log in to your account and add the new schools you are applying to. Once you do this, the schools have visibility and can use that information to award internal tuition assistance. Know that your award will follow you to your new school however, you still need to add the school or schools you are considering. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
- Ms. Moss will be assisting with transfer documents needed.
After talking with schools, many are making admissions decisions in March so be sure to get applications in so that you are ready to go. Many schools will ask your child to come in for an assessment. This is very common and is a good thing. The school wants to be sure they can serve your child well, that’s all!
I am sending a list to all the schools you selected so they will be expecting you. Please reach out to them if you have not already and be sure to set up a tour. My recommendation is to go and visit at least TWO schools. Every school is different and this is your opportunity to experience each one and see if the community is a good fit for your family. Feel free to call me to ask any general questions about the schools. I work with all of them in some capacity and am happy to share what I know of them.
