Meet the Teacher
8th Grade Homeroom, 5th-8th Grade ELA & 8th Grade U.S. History
B.A. in Communications/Psychology Washington State University; M.A. in Education, City University
TamiRae began her teaching career in the Highline School District in 1991. She dedicated 24 years as an intermediate ELA and classroom teacher, as well as a Collegial Reading Coach at Beverly Park Elementary School. She retired in 2015 and then volunteered as the Middle School Librarian and part-time substitute at St. Paul, which led her to join the staff in 2017.
TamiRae has been a long-time family member of the St. Paul community. Her son attended St. Paul Pre-K -8th Grade, graduating in 2018. She has also served as PTO Chairperson, Room Parent, as well as on a variety of committees throughout the years. Its obvious TamiRae has a deep devotion and love for St. Paul School and her students. She has high but attainable expectations, holding her students accountable for their learning and realizing their personal academic potential and social growth.
“When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my incredible family and friends having dinners, family game nights and celebrations! I also enjoy reading, decorating, gardening and traveling. I am an avid sports fan, always routing for the Cougars and of course for the Hawks since 1976!”
