Beginning this fall, with support from the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), St. Paul School will adopt a proven, blended-learning model of education, combining small-group, teacher-led instruction with individualized computer-based learning.

The Power of Blended Learning

Fifty years of education research has confirmed what many of us know: students learn in different ways and at different paces. A textbook may communicate a concept to some children adequately, while a hands-on demonstration works for others. Blended learning leverages technology to empower teachers to customize an educational plan and its pacing for each student’s unique needs – and to track their mastery. Teachers can then focus their traditional classroom instruction on individuals and small-groups, producing special lesson plans based on real-time student results.
The impact of blended learning is undeniable: Students who are behind in a subject quickly catch up. Students who are at-level or above continue to improve and excel. The pace of their learning is not dependent on the rest of the class.

We'll share information about our move to blended learning and have application packets available. Principal for a Day - Alexandria R.

Friday, May 24 is Alexandria's day to call the shots.

Principal R. has declared Friday, May 24 to be a Mismatched Dress Day! Get out your stripes and plaids and mix up your wardrobe on Friday.

She has also declared that all classes should get an extra recess! And wait, there's more...All classes will get a special treat in the afternoon!

Grade 2 will also get some special surprises for the day, so second graders stay tuned for more activities that Principal R. has in store for you.
